Senior Quantum Systems Engineer - Quantum Computing
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Quantum Systems Engineer - Quantum Computing to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.This role will help define and shape the technical system requirements that enable fault-tolerant quantum computing initiatives. The engineer will partner closely with product, research, and engineering stakeholders to translate product needs into practical specifications across hardware, software, and firmware. The work will center on real-time quantum error correction, calibration, and rigorous systems analysis to support technical readiness and innovation.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $152,000 – $287,500 annuallyResponsibilities Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to define system requirements for fault-tolerant quantum computing Develop approaches for real-time quantum error correction and calibration through rigorous systems analysis Translate product needs into technical specifications for hardware, software, and firmware Create and review test cases to ensure technical requirements are met Foster a culture of collaboration, rapid innovation, and creative problem-solvingQualifications Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field; advanced degrees are a plus 5+ years of post-bachelor's experience managing complex hardware and software systems Hands-on experience with real qubits and quantum control systems software Passion for integrating technological innovations into quantum computing productsBenefits Eligible for equity opportunities as part of compensation Participate in a diverse work environment promoting equal opportunity Compensation includes a strong salary range aligned with the scope of the roleOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
