Physician / Radiology / New York / Permanent / Remote Radiologist

Position Overview Board-certified or Board-eligible Radiologist needed for a high-volume, multidisciplinary practice specializing in diagnostic imaging for workers? compensation and no-fault/lien cases. 100% Remote / Teleradiology: Review and interpret scans from our various New York diagnostic centers via a secure, high-speed PACS interface. Specialized Focus: Expertise in evaluating traumatic injuries and accident-related pathologies without the involvement of major medical insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Key Responsibilities Interpret Diagnostic Imaging: Provide accurate, timely readings of MRI, CT, X-ray, and Fluoroscopy scans, focusing on musculoskeletal (MSK) and neurological injuries. Identify Acute & Chronic Pathologies: Detect and document findings common in accident cases, such as herniated discs, spinal cord trauma, fractures, and soft tissue injuries. Workers' Comp Compliance: Utilize specific medical treatment guidelines (MTG) to ensure all findings and recommendations align with NY State Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) standards. Detailed Reporting: Complete thorough, high-quality narrative reports and required clinical documentation necessary for legal and insurance claim processing. Clinical Collaboration: Coordinate virtually with referring physicians, including Orthopedic Surgeons, Pain Management specialists, and Physical Therapists, to ensure integrated patient care. Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of accuracy and peer-review compliance within a fast-paced, high-volume teleradiology environment. Requirements MD/DO with an active, unrestricted New York medical license. Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology (if BE, certification must be obtained within the designated timeframe). NYS WCB Authorization (Required for signing off on workers' compensation reports). Proven Experience in teleradiology and a strong background in workers? compensation, no-fault, or personal injury (lien) cases. Home Office Setup: Must have a dedicated, HIPAA-compliant remote workspace with diagnostic-grade monitors and high-speed internet. Efficiency: Ability to manage a high daily volume of cases while maintaining rapid turnaround times for reports.
