Accounting & Job Costing Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Job Costing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable functions, overseeing company credit card processes, supporting month-end close activities, maintaining accurate job costing within our ERP system (Microsoft NAV), and assisting with inventory-related accounting processes.The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while communicating professionally with vendors and internal departments.Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Vendor ManagementPerform full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor reconciliationsMaintain vendor records and complete vendor onboarding/setupResolve vendor discrepancies and payment disputes in a timely mannerEnsure all payments are processed according to company deadlines and policiesMonitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding issuesInitiate and process online vendor paymentsMonitor and reconcile company corporate credit cards including American Express and RampMonitor open purchase orders and communicate with internal departments to complete PO processes Inventory Management & Job CostingUtilize Microsoft Dynamics NAV for daily accounting and operational tasksCreate and maintain inventory item cardsAssist with inventory management and data accuracyEnter and review job ledger entries and related costing informationMonitor project/job costs and maintain accurate cost trackingReview and post job journal entries Month-End & General Accounting SupportAssist with month-end closing proceduresPrepare journal entries and account reconciliationsReview income statement activity and assist with reclassifications as neededSupport ongoing accounting and operational process improvements Qualifications3+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, construction, or inventory-based environments preferredExperience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience considered a strong assetStrong understanding of job costing and inventory-related accounting processesExperience reconciling corporate credit cards, preferably American ExpressProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred AttributesSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyProfessional and confident communicating with vendors and internal teamsProcess-improvement mindset with the ability to streamline workflowsExperience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments considered an asset Skills & CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling company recordsStrong computer proficiency with digital financial systemsAdvanced Excel and data management skillsStrong numerical, analytical, and critical-thinking skillsAbout DY Concrete PumpsDY Concrete Pumps is a family-owned and operated concrete pump manufacturer headquartered in Alvarado, Texas.
