EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree in a health care-related field Experience 5 years of related experience in a clinical role Preferred Licenses and Certifications (RN) REGISTERED NURSE Upon Hire JOB DUTIES Reviews and follows up on Safety Events with a focus on system and process improvement. Collaborates with stakeholders to develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence of adverse events. Ensures accuracy of data within the Event Reporting system. Monitors and analyzes Safety Event data for clusters and trends. Educates staff and leaders about patient safety, including navigation of the Event Reporting system. Serves as a patient safety consultant to all areas of influence. With moderate guidance, communicates effectively with external audiences, including presentation to leadership groups and committees. With moderate supervision, participates in and may lead improvement efforts, e.g., RCAs and Action Plans. Develops self through self-study, training, and educational opportunities, seeking guidance from others when needed. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams or activities. Assists with planning, management, and monitoring of assigned projects. Actively participates in and assists in leading meetings and committees, as assigned. Supports the achievement of department goals and objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.
