Location : Tampa, FL (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time Core business hours with on-call availability Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage enterprise Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database environments for a federal government IT program. You will perform database administration activities, drive performance optimization and security compliance, collaborate with DBA staff, and ensure high availability of mission-critical data systems in a cloud-hosted environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform enterprise Oracle and SQL Server database administration in a federal IT environmentArchitect, optimize, and maintain high-availability database configurationsImplement database security controls, access management, and data integrity enforcementManage backup/recovery operations with quarterly validation testingExecute SQL tuning, data integration, and ETL/SSIS support activitiesDevelop and maintain contingency plans and business impact analyses for database systemsSupport disaster recovery and continuity of operations exercisesCollaborate with and support junior DBA staff Required QualificationsU.S. Citizenship requiredBachelor's degree OR Oracle 19c/SQL Server certification OR 5+ years of DBA experienceProven expertise in Oracle 19c+ and Microsoft SQL Server administrationExperience with high-availability database configurations (clustering, mirroring, replication)Strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills Preferred QualificationsOracle OCP/OCM or Microsoft SQL Server certificationAzure Database Administrator AssociateCloud-hosted database experience (OCI, Azure, or AWS RDS)Federal IT background with DoD data governance requirements CertificationsOracle or SQL Server certification preferred
