About Our Practice We are a fast-paced, full-scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care with precision, efficiency, and compassion. Our office performs dentoalveolar surgery, IV sedation, implants, full-arch reconstruction, pathology, and facial trauma-related procedures. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our growing team. Position Overview The Oral Surgical Assistant plays a critical role in patient care, surgical efficiency, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy surgical setting, maintains professionalism under pressure, and values teamwork. Responsibilities Clinical & Surgical Support * Assist surgeon during surgery, implant placement, full-arch cases, and sedation procedures * Prepare and break down surgical rooms efficiently * Monitor patients during sedation (per certification and state guidelines) * Obtain and document vital signs * Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and infection control standards Patient Care * Prepare patients for surgery and review post-operative instructions * Provide compassionate chairside support * Maintain clear and professional communication with patients and families Administrative & Operational * Chart accurately and thoroughly * Maintain inventory and surgical supplies * Sterilization and instrument processing * Assist with maintaining overall clinic flow and efficiency Qualifications Preferred: * Radiology Certification * CPR/BLS Certification * 1+ year dental assisting experience (oral surgery preferred) * DAANCE Certification * Experience with sedation * Experience in a full-scope OMFS practice * Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation Skills & Attributes * Strong attention to detail * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced surgical setting * Professional, calm demeanor * Strong team player * Excellent communication skills * High level of accountability Compensation & Benefits * Competitive pay based on experience * Paid time off * Paid holidays * 401(k) options * Health benefits (if applicable) * Continuing education opportunities Schedule Full-time | Monday-Friday (No weekends) Why Join Us? * Supportive team culture * Opportunity to grow in a full-scope surgical environment * Structured training and development * High clinical standards with strong leadership
