IT Security Project ManagerWe are seeking an experienced IT Security Project Manager to lead and coordinate a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives. This role will ensure delivery aligns with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk objectives across Identity, Security Engineering, Detection & Response, and Cloud Security domains. The ideal candidate is a hands-on project manager who can operate independently, drive accountability across teams, and provide clear visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes.Engagement DetailsStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: 12/31/2026 (6 month contract with extensions)Location: Hybrid (Merriam, KS preferred)Work Environment: Supports a 24/7/365 operationScope of WorkThe contractor will provide end-to-end project management across multiple concurrent cybersecurity initiatives.Program & Project DeliveryBuild and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestonesDrive execution across multiple security workstreamsEnsure alignment with IT, Security, and business stakeholdersGovernance, Risk & ComplianceAlign deliverables to SOX and audit requirementsCoordinate audit activities and evidence collectionEnsure projects meet internal control and compliance expectationsStakeholder Management & CommunicationDeliver concise executive status reportingFacilitate cross-functional meetings and alignmentAct as central point of coordination across teamsRisk, Issue & Dependency ManagementMaintain RAID logs across all initiativesProactively identify and mitigate risksEscalate issues requiring leadership interventionChange Management (CAB)Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) submissionsEnsure completeness and quality of change documentationVendor CoordinationManage third-party deliverables and timelinesEnsure vendor alignment with project objectivesReporting & MetricsDevelop and maintain dashboards and KPIsProvide forward-looking visibility into risks, priorities, and timelinesKey DeliverablesIntegrated project plans across all assigned initiativesWeekly status reports and executive summariesMaintained RAID logs with documented mitigation actionsKPI dashboards and reporting artifactsAudit-ready documentation and evidence trackingCoordinated and approved CAB submissionsRequired Qualifications5+ years of IT project management experience, with a focus on cybersecurity initiativesProven experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional projectsStrong understanding of cybersecurity domains (IAM, cloud security, detection & response, etc.)Experience supporting SOX or similar audit/compliance frameworksDemonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies, and executive communicationsProficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet)
