Experienced Transportation Planning Analyst

OverviewKimley-Horn's is seeking a Transportation Planner with 2+ years of experience to join the Tallahassee, Florida (FL) office!ResponsibilitiesContribute to the production and delivery of multi-modal transportation systems planning, including data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.Tasks and projects may include multi-modal corridor concept development, bicycle and pedestrian analysis and improvement concept development, multi-modal transportation analyses and design, transit operations planning and design, and community outreach.Support all steps of a transportation planning project, including:Initial data gathering and needs identificationGoals setting and visioningDevelopment of recommended strategies and design conceptsPrioritization and cost estimatingDevelopment of technical and public-facing documentation and presentations* Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors* Perform a variety of tasks, supporting various project managers and collaborating with team membersQualifications2+ years of experience in a related fieldBachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field such as urban planning, transportation planning, or similarStrong written and oral communication skills with the ability to write and communicate findings clearlyDemonstrated experience in oral presentations and public speakingAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Working knowledge of ESRI ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and/or StoryMapStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesHigh attention to detailCritical thinking and analytical skillsDetail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamWhy Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
