This role supports daily operations by ensuring shipment, inventory, and rail service records are timely and precise, helping coordinate efficient workflow across departments. Assists with all aspects of daily logistics operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEnter and maintain logistics data, including shipment details, railcar movements, inventory records, and service schedulesVerify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies with operations, dispatch, or field teamsTrack and update shipment statuses and delivery timelinesMaintain organized digital and physical records of logistics activitiesGenerate routine reports for management on logistics performance and data trendsCommunicate with internal departments to ensure alignment on scheduling and documentationAssist with billing documentation, invoices, and compliance records as neededFollow company policies and industry regulations related to transportation and logisticsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)Previous data entry, logistics, or administrative experience preferredAbility to sit at a computer for long periods of time and multi-task.Strong attention to detail and accuracyStrong proficiency in Microsoft Suites and extensive hands-on experience in Excel.Ability to handle large volumes of data efficientlyStrong organizational and time management skillsBasic understanding of logistics, transportation, or rail industry operations is a plusExperience with Sage 300 and SOS a plusSkills & CompetenciesData accuracy and integrityCommunication and teamworkProblem-solving and critical thinkingTime management and multitaskingAdaptability in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively handle interruptions without losing focus on priorities.
