A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRegistered Nurse - PCU/n/nJob Details:/n• 8-week assignment duration/n• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required/n• Weekend coverage required/n• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends (up to 6 patients)/n• Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed/n• 2 years of nursing experience required/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n• Alabama nursing license required/n• Must have experience in MS/Telemetry, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown units/n• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required/n• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols/n• Manage cardiac drips without titration/n• Skills include telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/n• Experience with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions required/n• Must be proficient with any charting system/n• Accepts first-time travelers/n• Requested time off must be 7 days maximum/n• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 8 hours/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility operates a Progressive Care Unit that specializes in cardiac monitoring and intermediate care services.
