Water Treatment Technician Location: Jal, NM Schedule: 8/6 (8 days on 6 days off) Hours: 12-hour days 6am to 6pm Pay: For this role depends on experience within the range $30 - $35 Hierarchy Breakdown: Reports to: Directly to the Water Treatment Foreman for the Jal, New Mexico area Works Directly Alongside: All Water Treatment Crews and Personnel working in his or her field. *** Please Be Aware this is not an “Office” Position, This Position is a “Field” Position*** Top Focus of this Position: Will oversee one 8-million-barrel pit that is chemically treated. Oversees transfers and water pit to the frac Coordinates the distribution of trucks and other support equipment with maintenance team. Operates and monitors various water equipment and machinery. Gathers and computes chemical analysis of water samples. Interprets and logs results. Water Treatment Technician will have Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following: · Accurately documenting and record keeping of water sampling, testing and readings. · Ensure all safety standards are met by observing safe working practices and safety rules and regulations. · Calibrates laboratory equipment and adjusts chemical feeders for optimal water treatment. · Maintains records, including operations logs, daily diaries, and chemical inventories; compiles reports as required by departmental policies. · Reads, calculates, and records water usage · Operates SCADA system to monitor and control well field production. · Maintains pressure and flow levels in distribution water to frac. Qualifications: · A minimum of 3-years in a water treatment role and Knowledge of water treatment processes. · Knowledge of the handling and application of the chemicals, necessary to maintain a safe water supply and personal safety. · Ability to read gauges, collect samples for analysis and writing ability to record results · Knowledge of water treatment plant operations and equipment, pumps and motors and related maintenance techniques. · Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures (Federal, State, and Local policies and procedures). · Valid drivers lisence. · Must be willing and able to pass DOT drug screening / physical. · Must Live with in a 60-mile radius of Jal, NM Compensation will also include: A Company Truck, Company Fuel Card, Computer, and Cell Phone as well as Excellent Medical Benefits, Dental and Eye care, 401K, Free life insurance, Long-term and Short-term disability, Earned Vacation, Holiday Pay, in addition to 3 sets of FRCs.
