We're seeking a hands-on RFID Solutions Engineer who thrives at the intersection of RF engineering, real-world environments, and customer-driven problem solving.If you enjoy designing RFID systems, solving complex RF challenges, and seeing your work perform in live customer environments, this role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact.About the RoleThe RFID Solutions Engineer is a technical expert responsible for the design, deployment, testing, and optimization of RFID-based solutions across customer environments. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Solutions Principals, Systems Engineers, and Product Architecture leadership to deliver reliable, scalable RFID systems.This position reports to the SVP, Product & Solution Architecture and is based onsite in Riverside, MO, with travel required for site surveys, pilots, and deployments.While this is not a remote role, occasional work-from-home flexibility is available with prior coordination and approval.Key ResponsibilitiesRFID System Design and EngineeringDesign end-to-end RFID solutions including readers, antennas, tags, middleware, and integration architectureConduct RFID site surveys and feasibility assessmentsOptimize read accuracy, coverage, and reliability across customer environmentsDeployment and TroubleshootingSupport installation, testing, commissioning, and validation of RFID systemsDiagnose and resolve RFID performance issues related to RF interference, placement, and configurationPartner with Systems Engineers on network and connectivity requirementsCustomer and Sales SupportServe as the technical expert during customer evaluations and pilot engagementsSupport Sales with technical validation, demonstrations, and solution scopingTranslate customer operational requirements into effective RFID system designsTechnology Evaluation and StandardsEvaluate RFID hardware, software platforms, and emerging standardsDevelop and maintain design documentation, deployment playbooks, and best practicesKey Performance MetricsSuccessful delivery of RFID solutions meeting accuracy, coverage, and reliability targetsMeasurable improvement in RFID read rates and system stability through proper design and configurationEfficient execution of RFID site surveys, pilots, and deployments with clear documentationReduced post-deployment troubleshooting and service ticketsPositive customer and internal stakeholder feedbackDevelopment and maintenance of repeatable RFID standards and documentationQualifications and CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical fieldFive or more years of hands-on RFID solution design and deployment experienceStrong understanding of RF principles, antennas, readers, and tagging strategiesExperience with warehouse, manufacturing, or fleet RFID applicationsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skillsWillingness to travel for customer and deployment supportWork Environment and Physical RequirementsPrimarily office-based with regular computer and communication tool useAbility to sit for extended periods; occasional standing or walkingStandard business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours for deployments or special initiativesJ-18808-Ljbffr
