This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge and experience in patient-centered care, with oncology experience preferredThe pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication therapy management.Schedule10-hour day shifts6:00 AM – 4:30 PM or7:30 AM – 6:00 PMKey ResponsibilitiesReview, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician ordersProvide clinical pharmacy services including medication therapy management and dosing recommendationsCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient careMonitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse reactionsProvide medication education to patients and staffEnsure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC)Support automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis (preferred experience)Required QualificationsEducation:Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) requiredExperience:Minimum 1 year experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy setting preferredPGY1 residency or equivalent experience preferredCertifications/Licensure:Active California Pharmacist License (required)Nevada Pharmacist License (preferred)BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required or must obtain prior to startSkills & Knowledge:Strong clinical pharmaceutical knowledgeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency with EPIC EMR (required)Experience with Pyxis (preferred)Computer literacy (Microsoft Office / Google applications)About American ConsultantsSince 1989, American Consultants has been the leader in national healthcare staffing and consulting services.
