Staff Nurse/Weekend Program (ICU)

With dedicated scheduling options, RNs will have greater flexibility to support work-life balance while delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.• A commitment to working (3) 12 hour shifts, 5 out of 6 weekends. This includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday sequential or Saturday, Sunday, Monday sequential.Your contribution:A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referrals. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Floats, without an assignment, to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios. Position Requirements: Applicants must have a current state RN license.For ICU/CCU- applicant Must take a Critical Care course within one year from hire date if less than two years of critical care experience.Additional requirements include:Certifications required within six months of hire:• PALS• BLS/ACLS• NRP• PACU (ICU/CCU only)• NIH Stroke Scale• Monitor training
