This role involves building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will combine technical product knowledge with exceptional communication and negotiation skills to achieve sales targets. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesSales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals.Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.Market Research: Conduct research to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, procurement leaders, and key decision-makers.Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service throughout the sales cycle, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction and retention.Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of modular automation products and solutions to effectively present benefits and technical specifications.Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical teams to customize solutions based on client requirements.Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and customer interactions in CRM systems; prepare forecasts and performance reports.Required Experience/SkillsProven sales experience in industrial automation or a related technology sector.Strong understanding of modular automation systems and applications.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.Preferred Experience/SkillsExperience selling engineered or modular automation solutions.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing market conditions.Technical aptitude for understanding complex automation products.Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).BenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
