Seasonal Part Time High End Home and Design Store Sales Associate

Job description We are a specialized lifestyle, design, and homeware store with a sophisticated clientele, looking for a P/T Sales Person to support with customer service over the Holiday period. The ideal candidate will have a high level of computer competency, customer service experience, and the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once. This seasonal position will begin in November and end in January, with a possibility for extension depending on the needs of the business. Responsibilities Include: Process all sales on a computerized POS system with an exacting eye for detail Provide outstanding customer service both in store and online to support e-commerce sales & registry clients Provide design and sales assistance for special order furniture and custom tabletop with a focus on growing sales within the design trade Restock and organize the sales floor & stockroom as needed Maintain a clean selling space and merchandise, making sure all product is presented properly Project brand tenets with enthusiasm and confidence. Ability to work within a small team; scheduling flexibility & willingness to pitch in as needed Work under Store Manager and Director overseeing general store operations Qualifications: Mac based computer proficiency with high typing speed and accuracy required Luxury retailer or design store sales experience with a thorough understanding of product features and lifestyle Proven high-end customer service experience; experience working with the design trade A refined aesthetic sensibility, understanding of luxury brands and strong knowledge of cooking and home furnishings - willingness to learn and grow Great communication skills Positive and friendly attitude Strong attention to detail and organizational skills History of computerized POS systems Self-motivated and eager to learn Flexible schedule and a willingness to work Saturdays and evenings for events (our store is closed on Sundays) Ability to multitask; work in a fast-paced changing environment No Phone Calls Please Submit Cover Letter and Resume Job Type: Part-Time, Seasonal Shifts are typically 7 hours long Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $22.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Shift: Day shift Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: Retail & Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
