Job Description Patient Access Representative II Location: Lebanon, NH Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Shifts: Outpatient / Clinical Areas • Hematology/Oncology 3K - 6:30a-3:00p (Mon-Fri) • Ultrasound 3S - 7:00a-4:00p • CT/MRI 3Z - 0.7 FTE, 5:30a-2:00p • Occ Health/General Surgery 4L - 8:30a-5:00p • Same Day Surgery - 5:30a-2:00p Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC) • 5:45a-4:15p (Monday-Thursday) Admissions • 8:00a-6:00p (Sunday-Wednesday) Emergency Department • 9:00a-9:00p (Sunday-Wednesday) • 1:00p-1:00a (Sunday-Wednesday) • 6:00p-6:00a (Sunday-Wednesday) Salary: $19-$23 per hour Job Summary: Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking Patient Access Representatives II in Lebanon, NH. This role supports departmental efficiency through scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission/admission, reception, and discharge functions. The Patient Access Rep II must accurately obtain patient demographic data and perform compliant patient liability collections before, during, and after the date of service. Responsibilities:Greet customers and provide world-class customer serviceComplete full patient registration at date of serviceAdhere to financial and cash control policies and proceduresExplain and secure hospital and patient legal forms (e.g., Advance Directives, Conditions of Service)Scan Protected Health Information and manage patient information packets/foldersEducate patients on financial liabilities and employ compliant collection techniquesPerform hospital cash reconciliation and secure payment entry following policiesVerify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility in line with CMS guidelinesComplete assigned registration and financial clearance activitiesObtain insurance authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled hospital servicesSecure inpatient visit notifications to payorsAssist with scheduling and coordinating post-discharge care as needed Requirements:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum 1 year customer service experiencePreferred 1 year administrative experience in medical, health insurance, or related fieldMinimum typing speed of 35 WPMWorking knowledge of PC, CRT, and printersFamiliarity with hospital functions preferredStrong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentEffective oral and written communication skillsMedical Terminology course requiredUnderstanding of Third-Party Payor requirements preferredAbility to perform duties in at least two Patient Access service areas, including EDSkilled in professional negotiation for patient/guarantor collectionsAbility to build collaborative relationships internally and externally Benefits:401(k) and matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurance Work Location: In person About Wheeler Staffing Partners: Wheeler Staffing Partners (WSP) specializes in contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire, contingency, and executive staffing.
