The ideal candidate would have at least 10 years of progressive experience in the FDOT Roadway / Transportation Engineering industry. The selected individual will be responsible for the growth and success of roadway / transportation design, planning and related services within the area, including team management and performance, business development, client relationships, and project delivery. It incorporates technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to relay roadway information and communication. Finally, it brings transit planning and design to the forefront.Learn about Halff and our 75th AnniversaryWhat You Will DoProviding strong leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to an existing exceptional Transportation Team.Further develop and mentor members of the Transportation Team.Team performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.)Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout Northeast Florida including FDOT and multiple Cities and Counties.Identify business opportunities and lead the successful pursuit of roadway / transportation design projects.Directly manage projects and oversee project managers on various projects.Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects.What You Will NeedBachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degreeAt least 10 years of progressive experience with FDOT Roadway / Transportation EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) License in FloridaRecognized leadership and existing relationships with transportation clients within North East Florida.Strong local municipal client connectionsAbility to lead a project, and supervise technical staffStrong communication skills, both written and verbalClient interaction and development, project production, and staffingA positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success.The Halff Transportation AdvantageMulti-discipline teams to meet challenges that are often complicated by aging infrastructure and shrinking budgets.
