Material Handler

Job DescriptionPosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily warehouse and material-handling operations, including receiving, inventory storage, order picking, packaging, shipping, returns processing, and inventory transactions.The ideal candidate will maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will collaborate closely with warehouse, production, planning, and other functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & InventoryOpen, separate, and sort shipments received from suppliers.Receive and put away parts accurately in designated storage locations.Assign and maintain part locators as required.Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling and system transactions.Identify and communicate part shortages to the Planning team.Update inventory records for receipts, manufacturing orders, finished goods, and other material transactions.Order Picking & Material HandlingPick and fill customer orders accurately and efficiently.Pull, build, package, and prepare products for shipment.Verify correct components, drawings, and documentation are available before shipment.Move finished products to designated finished-goods locations.Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment safely.Repackage and label products as required.Shipping & ReturnsPrepare and ship domestic and international/export customer orders using designated carriers and shipping methods.Process customer returns accurately.Prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, labels, and inventory transactions.Use computer systems to print shipping labels and process shipment and return transactions.Ensure products are packaged securely and shipped accurately and on time.Production & Operational SupportUpdate computer systems for transactions such as manufacturing order closures and purchase receipts.Order warehouse consumables such as bags, grease, ribbons, labels, and related supplies as assigned.Notify supervision of maintenance, equipment, and safety requirements.Perform additional material-handling and warehouse duties as assigned.Quality, Safety & LeanMaintain high standards of product quality and inventory accuracy.Work with team members and other departments to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S and safety practices.Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.Follow all applicable OSHA safety requirements and company procedures.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.General computer skills and ability to accurately enter and retrieve information from computer systems.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.Ability to follow safety procedures and established work instructions.Physical RequirementsAbility to remain standing and active for extended periods throughout the workday.Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to use team lifting or material-handling equipment for items up to 75 lbs.Ability to perform repetitive movements, including:BendingKneelingSquattingClimbing stairsClimbing laddersAbility to safely operate manual material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.Ideal CandidateThe strongest candidate will have experience in warehouse, material handling, shipping/receiving, inventory control, or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, teamwork, and reliable execution.Search Keywords / Hashtags#MaterialHandler #MaterialHandling #WarehouseAssociate #WarehouseWorker #WarehouseOperations #InventoryControl #InventoryManagement #ShippingReceiving #ShippingAndReceiving #WarehouseShipping #WarehouseReceiving #OrderPicking #OrderPicker #Packaging #ShippingClerk #ReceivingClerk #InventoryAccuracy #Manufacturing #ManufacturingWarehouse #LeanManufacturing #5S #OSHA #PalletJack #HandTruck #MaterialHandlingEquipment #WarehouseJobs #ManufacturingJobs #WadsworthOH #OhioJobs #WarehouseJobsOhio #NowHiring
