Assistant Project Manager

We are a local electrical contractor. We’re hiring a self-motivated Assistant Project Manager for commercial electrical constructions in DC, VA and MD. The successful candidate will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. Responsibilities:
Assist project manager in managing at the job sites to ensure high quality of work, safe and timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization.
Assist project manager in developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Report and escalate to management as needed
Help to manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Work with vendors to ensure timely purchasing and delivery of materials, tools and equipment
Coordinate internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of projects
Prepare scoping for contractor bids
Work on various documentation, including submittals, training materials, as-built documents, change orders and other project-related documents
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A licensed electrician (preferred) or related field (significant relevant field experience will be considered in lieu of a license)
Electrical fieldwork experience is preferred
Electrical contracting project management experience is preferred
Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures
Understanding of electrical installations
Ability to read electrical drawings is required
Familiar with computer-based estimating
Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70)
30 Hour OSHA Certification is required within the first year
Strong client-facing verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Advanced time management and analytical skills
A clean driving record is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
