Sandman Structural Engineers (SSE) is seeking a Structural EIT. As a Structural Engineer at SSE, you are responsible for performing design work on assigned projects with other engineers and technicians to enable the success of our clients and our people. Core Responsibilities1. Design and Technical Work - 90%Ensure clear and comprehensive designs that comply with current technical standards and regulations.Key Activities:Performs design workPrepares portions of project documentsEdits specificationsPerforms research and investigationsAssists with structural engineering on projects of all sizes2. Project Management - 5%Ensure efficiency, profitability, and on-time delivery of projects leading to high levels of client satisfaction.Key Activities:Prepares for and participates in project meetingsWorks on multiple projects concurrently3. Administration - 5%Keep projects up to date in Ajera to ensure clients are invoiced accurately and SSE is paid in a timely manner.Key Activities:Ensure documents and emails are filed appropriatelyAccurately record and submit time for each projectQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited programEngineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months0-4 years of related experiencePassion for structural engineering, innovation, and designSelf-motivated, strong work ethic, and commitment to success of both team members and clientsProficient use of the English language, both verbal and written, and adaptable to all audiencesPhysically able to conduct field inspection and testing as assignedMaintain a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving recordPreferred:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited programInternship completed with focus in structural engineeringProfessional Activities: Member of professional organizationCommunity Activities: Involved in local outreach activities, university engineering clubs, etc.Compensation: The starting hourly compensation for this role is $32-$35.
