Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and municipal codes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee a team, including scheduling, tracking project progress, and allocating resources
Develop cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project expenses
Work with clients, Project Managers, and construction management to set budgets and timelines
Arrange delivery of materials and equipment with vendors and suppliers
Plan schedules for workers and subcontractors
Recruit and assign tasks to additional subcontractors
Keep a daily log of site activities and report to management as needed
Modify operations as necessary to meet construction deadlines
Apply cost-effective and efficient management strategies
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards
Experience with tenant improvements, remodels, building additions, and/or ground-up projects
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
Proficiency in project management software and tools
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
