Sr. Environmental Specialist
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Sr. Environmental Specialist that leads high-level environmental on-site compliance with federal (EPA), state (TCEQ), and local regulations, ensuring legal operation through air permits, waste management, and wastewater.Focus on risk management, ISO 14001 systems, and sustainability in high-paced environments.The ideal candidate will have +8 years of industrial or regulatory experience, and strong expertise in permitting, compliance, and auditing. They possess leadership skills, a proactive approach to risk management, and the ability to manage complex sustainability projects and compliance reporting.Key Responsibilities:Regulatory Compliance & Permitting: Analyzes, interprets, and ensures adherence to Federal, State, and local environmental regulations. Manage permits, such as NPDES, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC), and Title V air permits.Field Work & Site Investigation: Inspects facilities for compliance with safety and environmental standards.Reporting & Data Analysis: Prepares complex technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and annual emissions or waste reports. Develop databases, maps, and spreadsheets to track environmental data.Strategy & Sustainability: Develops and implements sustainability initiatives, and pollution prevention strategies.Mentorship & Training: Trains and mentors EHS Team and provides environmental compliance training to people in the organization.Required Qualifications:BA/BS Degree in environmental, engineering science or closely related discipline or demonstrate at least 8 years of relevant experience in multi-media environmental compliance.Previous experience preparing Toxic release Inventory (TRI), Hazardous and industrial waste compliance, Wastewater permitting, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Multi Sector General Permit (MSGP), Air permits (e.g., New Source, General Operating Permit, permits under Title V) and manage of State of Texas Environmental Electronic Reporting System (STEERS).Deep knowledge of environmental compliance regulations and best management practices at local, state, and federal levels (e.g., Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control (SPCC). Ability to multi-task while working independently and as part of a team.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management.Ability to travel between Taylor & Georgetown facilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience of management systems (ISO 14001)Advanced knowledge in environmental data analytics and environmental pollution release calculationsWhy Join Our Team?
