Seasonal Moving Crew Member (Students/Staff Members Only)

Seasonal Moving Crew Member Location: District Campuses (HISD) Duration: May August (as needed) Hours: Variable; based on moving and project needs Position Summary: The Seasonal Moving Crew Member supports campus and district operations by assisting with the relocation of furniture, equipment, and materials during summer months. This position plays a key role in preparing campuses for the upcoming school year, including moves related to maintenance, construction, and organizational needs. Key Responsibilities: Move boxes, furniture, and other items between classrooms, offices, and campus locations Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas Set up and arrange furniture and equipment as directed Maintain organization and care of items during transport Follow directions from campus principals and district construction team Ensure safe handling of all items and adherence to basic safety practices Qualifications: No prior experience required Ability to perform physical labor, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing/moving Dependable and able to follow directions Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Staffing: Seeking 23 adult workers and 2 student workers Compensation: Hourly wage (to be determined based on district guidelines) Hours will vary depending on project needs Supervision: Reports to Campus Principals and District Construction Team
