Teacher Aide Special Education Preschool

Therapy and Learning Center, a Special Education Preschool, is seeking a 1 to 1 Teacher Aide to provide support for a student in a self-contained classroom as per IEP mandates. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Experience working with Special Needs Children Fluent in English Responsibilities: Work cooperatively with supervising Teacher and assist in all aspects of classroom management. Provide behavioral support for students as assigned. Assist in creating and maintaining a positive educational atmosphere, including the health, medical, and safety concerns of the students. Interact with students in an age-appropriate manner, maintaining their right for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate initiative and maintains an effective level of interaction with students during transition, upon completion of structured activities. Interact politely and appropriately with parents, caregivers, or other visitors to TLC and directs them to the appropriate party. Daily work hours: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, following TLC's school calendar, which runs 12 months out of the year.
