Accounts Payable ManagerWashington, DC Area | Hybrid (3–4 Days Onsite)A rapidly growing real estate investment and development platform is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale the AP function across a complex multi-entity environment supporting large-scale commercial development and infrastructure projects throughout the DMV region.This is a highly visible opportunity within an entrepreneurial, institutionally backed organization experiencing significant growth. The role offers direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to help build scalable accounting operations within a sophisticated and evolving platform.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day accounts payable operations across multiple corporate and property-level entitiesSupervise and mentor AP staff while helping scale the function over timeImprove AP workflows, policies, controls, and operational processesServe as a key stakeholder in the organization’s ongoing Yardi optimization and AP workflow managementManage vendor onboarding, payment approvals, wire setups, and disbursement workflowsOversee 1099 processing and AP-related compliance requirementsCoordinate invoice processing tied to development projects, construction activity, and corporate operationsAssist with credit card administration and reconciliationsPartner closely with accounting, finance, and operational leadership teamsSupport month-end close and AP reporting activitiesHelp establish scalable processes to support continued organizational growthQualifications8–15 years of accounting or accounts payable experience with prior management responsibilityExperience managing AP operations within a multi-entity environmentReal estate, construction, development, infrastructure, hospitality, or related industry experience preferredYardi experience is requiredStrong understanding of AP operations, vendor management, payment processing, and internal controlsExposure to construction draws and lien waiver processes is a plusStrong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentHands-on leadership style with both strategic and operational capabilitiesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredWhy This OpportunityHigh-growth environment with strong long-term advancement potentialOpportunity to help modernize and scale the AP functionDirect exposure to executive leadership and strategic initiativesCollaborative and entrepreneurial cultureExposure to sophisticated real estate investment and development operationsIf interested, please apply directly or message me confidentially for additional details.
