They ensure servers, networking equipment, and power/cooling systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain servers, racks, and network equipmentPerform hardware upgrades, replacements, and troubleshootingMonitor system performance and respond to alerts or outagesManage cabling (fiber and copper), labeling, and organizationSupport power and cooling systems (UPS, PDUs, HVAC coordination)Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenanceDocument work, inventory, and incidents accuratelyAssist in data center moves, adds, and changes (MAC work)Follow security procedures and access controlsCollaborate with network engineers, system admins, and IT teamsRequired Skills & QualificationsBasic knowledge of servers, networking, and operating systemsUnderstanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, racks)Experience with hardware troubleshooting and diagnosticsFamiliarity with cabling standards and toolsAbility to read technical manuals and diagramsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPhysical ability to lift equipment and work in server environmentsPreferred QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldCertifications such as:CompTIA A+ / Network+Cisco CCNAData Center certifications (CDCTP, etc.)Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring tools
