Labor & Employment AttorneyCareer Consulting Partners is proud to partner with a well-established boutique labor and employment law firm located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The firm is seeking a driven Labor and Employment Attorney to join its expanding plaintiff-side practice.In this role, you will represent employees in wage-and-hour class and representative actions, handling claims related to unpaid overtime, meal and rest break violations, unreimbursed business expenses, and other employment-related issues. You will gain substantial hands-on litigation experience while working on high-impact cases against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries.The firm values initiative, growth, and long-term development. Attorneys with employment law experience who are eager to break into class action and PAGA work are strongly encouraged to apply—training and support will be provided.Ideal Candidate:Manage employment law matters representing victims of wage theft on a class-wide basis as it relates to unpaid overtime, meal and rest breaks, unreimbursed expenses, and more under the supervision of a senior attorney.Oversee case progress, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement negotiations.Handle a caseload where approximately one-third of matters are expected to settle shortly after filing.You will have professional staff to assist with your caseload, such as preparing legal filings and gathering client information for discovery responses, allowing you to focus solely on legal work.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAn active member of the California State Bar in good standing1 - 4 years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on wage and hour class action/PAGAIf you have employment experience that does not include Class Action PAGA but truly want to be in this field, we are open to training.Excellent research, writing, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlinesStrong negotiation and advocacy skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $120,000 - $170,000Additional year-end bonusesPaid vacation timeMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement plan with employer matchProfessional development and continuing education opportunitiesWe place a huge emphasis on attorney growth and happiness.We give our associates real responsibilities, and the attorneys for these positions will be trained to soon manage their own cases under the supervision of one of the senior attorneys.We are looking for someone who can grow with the firm.15 + AttorneysLocation:Downtown Los Angeles, CaliforniaNear Disney Concert HallOn-sitePlease note that we at Career Consulting Partners will be sure to keep your information private.
