Mental Health Response Team Clinician - Master's LevelJob Type(s):Full-TimeLocation(s):Bangor, MaineLicenses/Certifications:LMSW-CC, LCSW, LCPC-C, LCPC, PhDEducation:Master's Level**Job Description**The Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) Clinician with Penobscot County Sheriff's Office is an independently licensed clinician who will be embedded within the patrol division of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) to enhance the ability of the PCSO to effectively respond to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises in the community. The clinician will accompany PCSO deputies on routine patrols as well as: conduct proactive outreach and follow-ups with individuals in the community at risk of interaction with the criminal justice system due to possible behavioral health needs; provide consultation and recommendations to the deputy, assist deputies with determinations around possible need for protective custody and hospital-based assessment of individuals in the community who are interacting with PCSO, and, as part of the CHCS/PCSO behavioral health team, provide ongoing education and consultation to PCSO relative to interactions with individuals in the community with possible behavioral health needs and on behavioral health topics in general.
