We prioritize quality legal work, reasonable fees, personalized service, and uphold the highest ethical standards in all that we do.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Assistant at Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper, P.C. located in Westfield, NJ. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to legal work, including legal document preparation, communication, administrative assistance, and providing support to attorneys and clients. This role will support attorneys who practice in the family law and employment law groups. Some collections work is performed weekly. Intermittent involvement with mediation and arbitration as needed.QualificationsStrong knowledge of law and legal proceduresExperience in legal document preparationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to provide administrative assistance to attorneysProficient in multitasking and organizing tasksAttention to detail and accuracyStrong research and analytical skillsRequirementsPrior 2-4 years experience working as a Legal Assistant is requiredFamily law / matrimonial experience is requiredAssociates Degree required, Bachelors Degree preferredNotary PublicMS Office, iManage, and other industry specific platforms.
