Role Overview:Support development and qualification of advanced human lung complex in vitro models including organoids, ALI cultures, and lung-on-chip systems for translational safety and drug development research.Requirements:PhD in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Toxicology, or related field0–5 years post-PhD experience (industry or academia)Strong experience with lung cell culture and complex in vitro systemsExpertise with organoids, co-culture systems, or microphysiological platformsStrong experimental design and troubleshooting skillsResponsibilities:Develop and characterize lung CIVM models (airway/alveolar organoids, ALI, lung-on-chip)Execute qualification and characterization studiesPerform imaging, cytotoxicity, permeability, transcriptomic, and proteomic assaysAnalyze and interpret complex datasetsMaintain electronic documentation and study recordsCollaborate with cross-functional research and translational teamsSupport scientific presentations and publicationsTechnical Skills:qRT-PCR, RNA-seq, proteomicsImmunofluorescence and confocal microscopyHigh-content/live-cell imagingFunctional and phenotypic assaysPreferred:Lung biology and immunology experienceMATLAB and/or Python for image/data analysis
