FT - Direct Support Professional (DSP)Support Services/ Harford CountyRate of Pay $22/hr*We are seeking a Full Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.Support a 10 year old in Harford County with building independence and community by working on personal independence skills, developing community, attending appointments, engaging in meaningful play, social skills, communication, etc. Assist with finding new activities of interest and planning a weekly schedule of activities.Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.This position is:M-F 4:30p-9:30p (25)Sat-1p-9p (8)Sun-2p-9p (7)40 hours/ weekThe schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.Some lift and transfer may be required.Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:Assisting with participation and exploration of the communityCultivating and expanding independent living skillsAssisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationshipsImplementing strategies to achieve individuals' personal goals.Benefits include:Health/ Vision/ Dental/ Life insurance plansRetirementSick and vacation timeShort and Long-term disability plansPaid HolidaysSupport Services DSPs - mileage and activity reimbursements!Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver's license with less than three points on the driving record.Rate of pay *$22/hr.*
