Job Description Wheel-lift/Wrecker Tow operator Job Description UPDATE as of 6/3/26: In search of ONE Night-Driver.Summary: Perform emergency road service, towing, and abandoned vehicle recovery using assigned truck and towing equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Provide towing and roadside assistance in a safe, professional, and timely manner, free of accident, injury, damage in all weather conditions2+ Yrs of Experience is preferred for this positionComplete pre-trip inspection sheets dailyPerform lock outs for customers who have locked their keys in their car.Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.Maintain truck fluid levels according to manufacturer standards;Maintain consistently excellent attendanceAbide by all Federal, State, and Municipal laws, rules and ordinances and maintain a clean driving recordMaintain truck and equipment in a safe, clean state, operating it in a safe and professional mannerAttend driver and employee meetings as requested for job and safety informationAttend training and achieve professional certification as directed by managementAssist in training new employees when requestedCleaning the inside and the outside of the truck.Attending safety meetings and training classes.General ExpectationsArrive at work on time daily, ready for duty when shift starts;Be well groomed wearing a clean uniform, boots with tractionComplete and turn-in pre-trip truck inspections prior to beginning duty each shift;Pay is commission Experience and RequirementsBe able to perform physical duties (lift 70+lbs.)Able to put basic knowledge of cars to useClean Driving RecordAbility to obtain DOT cardPast and Present Towing and Recovery Inc. provided the following inclusive hiring information:We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Life insurancePaid time offShift availability:Day Shift (Available)Night Shift (Available)Ability to Commute:Laurel, MD 20707 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Laurel, MD 20707: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
