Description:
**2ND SHIFT**
Will be responsible for maintaining safety and security of work facility. Patrol premises regularly during shift. Monitor all access points and prevent any unauthorized entry. Identify disruptions and any unlawful activities. Respond to and handle security issues or emergencies swiftly and professionally. Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions. Prepare detailed reports on any security-related incidents. Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order. Submit reports of daily activity and important occurrences when requested. Is responsible for checking that employees/contractors/visitors have proper badging and gate access. Surveilling employees/contractors/visitors in and out of the gate and issuing them hard hats and other PPE when needed. The Guard House is where applications and resumes for employment may be taken and Guards are responsible for turning in completed applications to HR. Will perform employee and visitor badging as needed and will verify online visitor access form are complete. Will not let unauthorized individuals onsite unless approved.
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety a plus. Familiarity with report writing. Excellent surveillance and observation skills. Trained in first aid a plus. Able to interact professionally with employees, customers and visitors. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
Supervision: Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Education: May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
