Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Treatment Nurse will provide quality of care to prevent and promote healing of alterations in skin integrity of each resident as determined by resident assessments and individual plans of care.Essential FunctionsCommunicate with DON/designee any alterations in skin integrity of each residentParticipate in training and in-servicing related to skin careDresses wounds and ensures that dressing changes are done timely as prescribedMonitors the progress of wound healing and makes recommendations for changes if neededPerforms and records weekly pressure ulcer assessment and measurement documentationCommunicates with responsible party and attending physician on resident care issues related to skin integrityDocument on Weekly Focused Skin Assessment the results of each resident's audit and provide copies to appropriate facility personnel during QA and care plan meetingsMay be asked at times by DON or Administrator to help with other nursing functions Participate in facilities rotating nursing on-call schedule
