Operate saws and other cutting tools (such as table saws, band saws, or circular saws) to cut wood accurately to size. Ensure precise cuts that meet the required dimensions and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or instructions to determine the required cuts. Inspect the wood for quality, ensuring it is free from defects and suitable for use. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly. Perform routine maintenance on cutting tools to ensure they remain in safe, working condition. Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Communicate effectively with team members or supervisors regarding project requirements and timelines.
