Senior Liability Claims Specialist

Our client, a leading TPA, is seeking an experienced Senior Liability Claims Specialist to join a growing claims team handling complex auto liability exposures. This role focuses primarily on third-party bodily injury and property damage claims involving commercial transportation operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong investigative, negotiation, and coverage analysis skills, along with the ability to manage claims through resolution with minimal supervision.This position is fully remote, Pacific Time Zone candidates preferred. California Adjuster License is required.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle a caseload of complex commercial auto liability claims involving bodily injury and property damage exposuresInvestigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve third-party liability claims in accordance with company guidelines and jurisdictional requirementsReview police reports, witness statements, medical documentation, and other claim-related materials to determine liability and exposureManage claims from inception through resolution, including settlement negotiations and claim dispositionCollaborate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the claims processAssist with claims involving litigation, including coordinating with defense counsel and monitoring litigation strategy when necessaryApply coverage analysis and liability determination across multiple jurisdictionsMaintain accurate and timely claim documentation and reserve activityProvide excellent customer service while balancing compliance, risk management, and cost containment objectivesQualifications5+ years of commercial auto liability claims handling experienceStrong experience handling bodily injury and property damage claimsGeneral liability claims experience preferredSome litigation exposure preferredExperience with municipality, public entity, or transportation-related accounts is a plusAbility to independently manage complex liability investigations and negotiationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsActive California Adjuster License requiredMultiple active state adjuster licenses strongly preferredCandidates located in the Pacific Time Zone preferredCompensationSalary range: $86,000 – $92,000 annually, depending on experienceWork EnvironmentRemote opportunity with preference for candidates located within the Pacific Time ZoneOpportunity to work on complex commercial transportation-related liability claims across multiple jurisdictionsHere at Canon Recruiting, People are our priority, and we are committed to Include Diversity in every segment of who we are.
