Optometric Technician/Receptionist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized optometric technician/receptionist to join our healthcare team in a fast paced optometry office. We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in an optical/optometry setting . The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional service and support. This role requires someone who is personable, organized, detail oriented and proficient with computer basics.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Perform basic pre-testing duties (training will be provided)
Manage phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems
Assist in coding and billing processes to ensure accurate patient billing and insurance claims.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient service.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications
Strong administrative skills
Strong communication skills
Previous work in medical settings is a plus.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
