Automation Test Engineer (Python / Robot Framework)About the RoleOur client is seeking a hands-on Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer with deep expertise in Python and Robot Framework to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions for desktop, terminal, and legacy healthcare applications.This role is heavily focused on developing scalable automation frameworks, improving test reliability, and integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines. The ideal candidate has a passion for writing clean automation code, eliminating flaky tests, and building maintainable test solutions.Experience supporting the FACETS platform and FACETS upgrade testing is preferred but this is primarily an automation engineering role.Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation Engineering (Primary Focus)Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Python and Robot FrameworkBuild automation for desktop and legacy applications using Pywinauto and PytestDevelop reusable automation components utilizing Page Object Model (POM) and other automation design patternsCreate reliable functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suitesContinuously improve automation architecture for scalability, maintainability, and code reuseEliminate flaky tests by implementing robust synchronization, stable locators, retry mechanisms, deterministic test design, and controlled test dataPerform automation code reviews and promote QA automation best practicesCI/CD & Test ExecutionIntegrate automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelinesConfigure scheduled executions, reporting, and quality gatesAnalyze automation failures and perform detailed root cause analysisPartner with development teams to resolve automation issues quicklyFACETS Quality EngineeringValidate business workflows across the FACETS platform including:ClaimsMembershipBillingProviderConfigurationSupport FACETS upgrade cycles through regression automation, version validation, environment verification, and post-upgrade testingVerify business rules, data integrity, and cross-module functionality throughout upgrade activitiesRequired QualificationsAutomation (Highest Priority)Expert-level experience with Python automation developmentStrong hands-on experience building automation using Robot FrameworkExperience with Pywinauto for desktop automationExperience using PytestStrong understanding of automation framework architecture and reusable test designExperience implementing Page Object Model (POM) or similar automation patternsProven ability to create stable, maintainable, and deterministic automation suitesExperience integrating automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelinesQA ExperienceStrong understanding of software testing methodologiesExperience designing functional, regression, integration, and system testsStrong debugging and defect investigation skillsPreferred QualificationsHealthcare ExperienceComplete working knowledge of the FACETS application is requiredExperience supporting FACETS upgrade testingUnderstanding of FACETS modules, batch jobs, data flows, and healthcare business processesExperience automating terminal or legacy systemsSQL for test data creation and validationExperience with cloud-based testing platformsPerformance or load testing experienceHealthcare payer experience
