About the Role:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Automation Test Engineer / Quality Engineer with deep expertise in Python and Robot Framework to design, build, and maintain robust automated testing solutions for desktop, terminal, and legacy healthcare applications. This role is heavily focused on developing scalable automation frameworks, improving test reliability, and integrating automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines. The ideal candidate has a passion for writing clean automation code, eliminating flaky tests, and building maintainable test solutions. Experience supporting the FACETS platform and FACETS upgrade testing is preferred but this is primarily an automation engineering role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Engineering (Primary Focus)
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Python and Robot Framework
- Build automation for desktop and legacy applications using Pywinauto and Pytest
- Develop reusable automation components utilizing Page Object Model (POM) and other automation design patterns
- Create reliable functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites
- Continuously improve automation architecture for scalability, maintainability, and code reuse
- Eliminate flaky tests by implementing robust synchronization, stable locators, retry mechanisms, deterministic test design, and controlled test data
- Perform automation code reviews and promote QA automation best practicesCI/CD & Test Execution
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines
- Configure scheduled executions, reporting, and quality gates
- Analyze automation failures and perform detailed root cause analysis

Required Qualifications:
- Automation (Highest Priority)
- Expert-level experience with Python automation development
- Strong hands-on experience building automation using Robot Framework
- Experience with Pywinauto for desktop automation
- Experience using PytestStrong understanding of automation framework architecture and reusable test design
- Experience implementing Page Object Model (POM) or similar automation patterns
- Proven ability to create stable, maintainable, and deterministic automation suites
- Experience integrating automation into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelinesQA Experience
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies
- Experience designing functional, regression, integration, and system tests
- Strong debugging and defect investigation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare Experience
- Complete working knowledge of the FACETS application is required
- Experience supporting FACETS upgrade testing
- Understanding of FACETS modules, batch jobs, data flows, and healthcare business processes
