Part-Time Cafe FOH & BOH StaffCategory: CafeSmashing Dishes/Tony Caters seeks a dynamic Cafe FOH & BOH Staff to assist at our cafs located at The Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and Winchester Mystery House. Pay rate is $22.00/hr plus tips. Must be available to work on weekends.The Caf FOH & BOH staff is primarily responsible for providing exception customer service, preparing and cooking meals for customers of the caf and to fulfill catering orders sent offsite.About UsFounded in 2009, Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters is a flourishing and highly respected off-site catering company that produces extraordinary events and exceptional food service across the Bay Area. We also have one additional cafe located at the historic Winchester Mystery House.Core Duties & ResponsibilitiesCore FOH Responsibilities:Greet customers with a friendly, professional attitudeCalculate order totals, process card and cash paymentsStock all grab n go items, salad bars, food items in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain cleanliness of counters, work areas and overall cafeOrganize and maintain inventory, including daily waste logsComplete daily cafe checklist of tasksOther duties as assignedCore BOH Responsibilities:Ability to work under pressure and always maintain a positive attitudeAbility to read order tickets and recipes in EnglishResponsible for cooking and preparing all menu items in accordance with recipes, rules, policies, and standards set by Tony CatersMaintains a clean and sanitary work environmentPrepare ingredients needed for recipes of menu itemsWash dishes and operate the dishwasher to clean all chinaware, silverware and cooking utensilsStock and maintain supplies and equipmentPerform cleaning duties including, but not limited to, mopping and removing trashOther duties as assignedRequirementsFriendly and upbeat attitude is a must! Previous experience in cash handling. Proven customer service ability. Must be able to work weekends. Responsible, accountable and task-oriented. Must be able to speak and understand English, bilingual in Spanish a plus. Must be able to work continuously while standing for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, pull and push materials/products to complete assigned job tasks.
