Manufacturing Shop Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Facilitates cutting, finishing, storing, cleaning, and shipping wood and plastic products
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare each job in accordance with a job order or verbal/written instructions.
Perform inspection of completed product in accordance with company quality standards.
Move finished products between stations and shipping area as needed.
Report problems or discrepancies to management.
Operate shop equipment and machinery in accordance with safety requirements.
Notify management of equipment malfunctions, injuries or related occurrences
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent written and oral communication; strong in English language
Must be able to use a tape measure accurately
ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a manufacturing/production environment
Standing, lifting, walking, use of hand tools on a continual basis
Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor and other office equipment
Ability of lift up to 40 lbs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; preferable with shop equipment such as table saws and routers
