Smokejumper Program Manager HelpDuties listed are at full performance grade GW-11 level.Plans, schedules and coordinates all aspects of smokejumper operations. Analyzes and predicts budget needs for all fire and prescribed fire operations and submits budget proposal for inclusion in the group annual work plan.The position also directly supervises an Assistant Manager position, designed to assist the Smokejumper Program Manager in the overall supervision of the section, and may also supervise a Spotter position.Provides administrative and technical supervision. Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Develops and maintains roles and responsibilities for smokejumpers and fire specialists.Provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Establishes group smokejumper operations guidelines. Writes, edits, updates, and approves relevant guidelines and reports for internal use.
