This role is responsible for the mechanical assembly of generator enclosures, piping, and heavy industrial components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in a heavy industrial environment, operating material handling equipment, and interpreting technical drawings.Key Responsibilities:Assemble and fit mechanical parts, enclosures, piping, and structural componentsRead and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to guide assembly operationsUse forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to safely move heavy parts and materialsInstall major components such as tanks, louvers, frames, generators, and panelsUse hand and power tools to complete complex assemblies and mechanical fitsConduct inspections and testing to ensure parts and finished assemblies meet quality standardsAssist with on-site installation, service, and warranty work when requiredProvide feedback to engineering and supervisors for continuous improvementFollow all safety procedures and perform equipment inspections (cranes, lifts, etc.)Maintain a clean and organized work areaTrain and mentor junior team membersQualifications:Required:Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical documentationCertified in forklift and overhead crane operationPhysically able to lift 50–75 lbs regularly and work in a high-traffic shop environmentKnowledge of material handling protocols and equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial components and toolsClear understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safe work practicesPreferred:Experience in an ISO 9001-certified manufacturing environmentBackground in genset assembly or large-scale industrial equipmentService technician experience is a plusKey Competencies:Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanshipAbility to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervisionPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetEffective problem-solving and communication skillsCommitment to continuous improvement and workplace safe.
