Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for mid level software engineer who will assist with daily responsibilities. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain applications using PythonBuild, deploy, and manage containerized applications with Docker.Design and optimize database solutions with MongoDB.Collaborate with team members using Git for version control and code reviews.Ensure smooth CI/CD processes and participate in the full software development lifecycle.Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.Provide on-site technical support, including diagnosing and resolving issues with hardware, applications, and user environments.Perform system administration tasks as needed to maintain operational stability across multiple locations.Manage and execute deployments to all production sites, including pushing new software versions, validating successful rollouts, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and maintain high system availability. RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Seven (7) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree and will be considered on a case by case basisRequired Skills:Proficiency in Python, Docker, and MongoDBStrong understanding of Git and collaborative workflowsExperience with JavaScript (Angular2 and/or React) for UI developmentFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methodologiesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsDesired Skills:Exposure to tools such as Ansible, JIRA, Bitbucket, and Terraform is a plusFamiliarity with Kubernetes is desired This position is open for direct hires only.
