Proposal Manager

Job Summary: Are you passionate about developing winning proposals and delivering high-quality, compliant content? Are you self-organizing, motivated, and detail focused? We are looking for a Proposal & Solutions Specialist to join our Growth & Strategy Team who will be responsible for supporting solutioning development and writing compelling, compliant proposals to increase Aleut's customer base. This includes working with capture leads and opportunity leads to develop winning, competitive proposals.Essential Job Functions:Craft proposals that are clear, concise, accurate, and compliant with established templates and submission requirementsLead peer reviews of content with strong attention to detail and adherence to requirementsWrite, edit, and format proposal content including solution narratives, management approaches, technical descriptions, presentations, and supporting documentationMaintain consistency in language, tense, formatting, and overall presentation across proposal materialsSupport solution development by translating business, technical, and operational concepts into customer-focused written responsesAnalyze proposal requirements and assist in developing responses that address customer objectives and evaluation criteriaCoordinate with proposal managers, project managers, and contributors to meet scheduled milestones and submission deadlinesManage assigned proposal sections or smaller pursuits with minimal supervisionIncorporate feedback from internal reviews and refine content through final submissionSupport continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, and content standardsHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretionQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in business, English, Communications, Information Technology or equivalent experience4-7 years of experience in proposal writing for federal governmentExperience supporting structured proposal processes from kickoff through submissionStrong writing and editing skills with a high level of attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)PreferredExperience supporting consulting, technology, or professional services proposalsExperience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter expertsInterest in developing proposal strategy and solutioning skillsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesClear, concise written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlinesAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyLocation: Hybrid - Arlington or Reston, VA Closing Date: This position will be posted until filled.Benefits: Aleut offers the following benefits to eligible employees:Health insuranceDental/Vision insurancePaid Time OffShort- and Long-Term DisabilityLife insurance401k and matchAleut Federal, LLC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or genetics.
