Our comprehensive benefits and dedication to employee growth have fostered a workforce with exceptional retention and long-term commitment.JOB SUMMARY: The Electroplater is responsible for operating the electroplating tanks that coat steel tools with nickel and diamonds.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Inspect all tools to ensure they meet integrity and quality standards.Remove old nickel and diamonds from tools to be replated; may include the use of chemicals and/or ultrasonic bath and require that the tools be scrubbed by hand.Operate manual sandblast booth to create an optimal surface on the tool for nickel and diamond to adhere to.Ensure that the correct size of diamond particles are utilized for each tool, per work order specifications.Monitor eight (8) electroplating baths simultaneously, checking progress of the tools at set intervals.Apply masking tape to specific portions of the tool throughout the electroplating process and during painting to ensure the appropriate amount of nickel and/or paint are applied.Inspect all tools with a microscope to ensure proper diamond and nickel coverage.Use bench grinder or hand drill with a wire wheel brush to clean and polish the tool after electroplating.Assemble all retail parts to ensure they are complete for sales; includes seals, washers, nuts, screws, etc.Clean stripping tanks to recover diamonds removed from used tools.Clean, sort and size reclaimed diamonds to be reused in production.Assist with the design of custom diamond tools, monitoring their performance and working with the production personnel to improve the product.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:Ability to maintain a high level of concentration and exercise patience in using fine motor skills due to the precise nature of job responsibilities.Must have good hand-eye coordination.Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production.Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis in time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency.Mechanically inclined.General math skills.Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings.Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric.Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed.MAKE YOUR MARK AND MAKE IT LASTIf you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, please call or text Karissa Lintgen at 320-685-4681 or email Karissa at klintgen@coldspringusa.com for assistance.COLDSPRING IS A VETERAN-FRIENDLY, WELLNESS ORIENTED, TOBACCO-FREE COMPANY.Coldspring is an Affirmative Action Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.Coldspring is a Veteran Friendly, Wellness-Oriented, Tobacco-Free Company.
