This role is responsible for submitting claims, applying payments, and ensuring accuracy across patient accounts within a fast-paced medical office environment.This is a great opportunity for someone with medical billing experience who enjoys both transactional work and problem-solving within revenue cycle processes.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MEDICAL BILLING/AR SPECIALIST:Submit and process medical claims accurately and in a timely mannerApply patient and insurance payments to appropriate accountsThe Medical Billing/AR Specialist will review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and billing discrepanciesFollow up on outstanding balances and insurance claimsMaintain accurate patient account records and documentationCommunicate with insurance providers regarding claim status and issuesSupport AR aging review and collections efforts as neededAssist with general billing and revenue cycle tasks within the practiceQUALIFICATIONS OF THE MEDICAL BILLING/AR SPECIALIST ROLE:Prior experience in medical billing and/or accounts receivable requiredExperience working in a healthcare or physician office setting preferredFamiliarity with insurance billing processes and claim submissionStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and account managementAbility to communicate professionally with patients and insurance representativesExperience with medical billing software preferredWHY THIS MEDICAL BILLING/AR SPECIALIST ROLE:Stable, well-established healthcare environmentHands-on billing role with both claims and payment applicationSupportive, team-oriented office cultureOpportunity to build long-term experience in revenue cycle management
