Responsibilities:-Inspect light tight enclosures to ensure containment of radiation to Class 1 levels.Verify interlocks, shutters, barriers, and warning systems are functional.Check administrative controls: signage, restricted access, written procedures, and personnel training.Confirm PPE availability and use, especially laser protective eyewear.Maintain inspection records and corrective action reports.Empowered to halt laser operations if unsafe conditions are foundActs as the compliance link between operators, management, and regulatory bodies.Technical Qualifications:Laser Safety Officer; a formally designated inspector under ANSI Z136.1 standardsTechnical or scientific background (physics, optics, engineering, or occupational safety).Formal training in laser safety principles, hazard evaluation, and control measures.Certifications:Completion of ANSI Z136.1 laser safety training.Familiarity with OSHA requirements and institutional policies.Documented competency in evaluating Class 4 laser hazards.Job Type: 1099 ContractorProject Duration: CURRENT PROJECT: TBD >Note: This is a 1099 contract role – project duration may vary based on client needsShift Hours: CURRENT PROJECT: Standard production hours - 8 hours per day. >Note: As a 1099 contractor, project schedules may vary depending on site availabilityLocation: Must be able to travel to Woodruff, South Carolina and nearby areas (exact CLIENT address can ONLY be shared once contractor is confirmed)
