Job TitlePulverizer Technician - 2nd ShiftSummaryPosition OverviewThe purpose of this position is to ensure that the pulverization equipment and process is operated efficiently and safely. This position also includes precision pulverizer blade settings, quality checks, lift truck operations, and operating the pulverization equipmentPosition reports to the Profile Shift SupervisorPrimary Job TasksLearn, understand, and operate pulverizer systemsVisual inspections of the pulverizer and dust collection monitoring systems in the following areas:Pulverizer room and attached auxillary equipment, Camfil dust collection unit, waste trailer area, dust reclaim tanker areaCommunicate downtime events and quality concerns through technologyForms, computer, and radio usageMaintain a clean and safe workspaceIdentify and communicate Maintenance support needs through supervisor.Perform quality testing and sampling on regular intervalRecord quality testing using designated formsMake process adjustments to address quality concerns including but not limited to:Blade gap settings, blade replacements, material feed ratesMaintain awareness of and coordinate waste trailer and pulverizer tanker replacements with Shipping Dept and assist with trailer replacement tasksAssist with dust reclaim box out system as neededPerform all shift cleaning assignmentsTrain new Technicians Other duties as requested by Lead or SupervisorRequirementsMust have the ability to perform basic reading, writing, and mathMust follow all Plant RP safety requirements including PPE usageMust be familiar with or willing to learn current computer systems and softwareMust be able to operate a lift truck once trainedMust be able to lift 5-15lbs on a regular basis throughout the dayMust have the ability to be cross trained for other jobsDemonstrated ability to make timely decisionsPassion and track record of achieving results Proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels of associatesMust be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as requiredWork Shift8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
